My Past:

Without my past
my future will never be
Tho I hide in the shadows
of my own mind
Cloaking what others see
on the outer edge
I cling to my own reality
letting none pass
within my realm
so they can’t mold me to
A unchanging pattern
of their own creation

This is hearfelt and sorrowful to me desk49. I'm popping over to visit after enjoying your great poetry/comments on Nilajana Bose's blog. Thank you. You're brilliant!

But I always make my own pattern...
Someone has to do it!

Yet others are so quick to do it for us.
Not understanding why we're not happy about it.

Such an evocative poem you wrote on my blog for my own story. That was a great, gracious thing for you to do. Thanks.
